The Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 ‘Computer Chip’ is drawn from a limited collection launching in conjunction with LeBron James’ ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy,’ the standalone sequel to the original 1996 film. The vintage hoops shoe features computer chip-inspired graphics throughout the upper, crafted from black leather with matching black textile on the quarter panel. First known as the Vans #36, the Old Skool debuted in 1977 with a unique new addition: a random doodle drawn by founder Paul Van Doren, and originally referred to as the “jazz stripe.” Today, the famous Vans Sidestripe has become the unmistakable-and instantly recognizable-hallmark of the Vans brand. Constructed with durable suede and canvas uppers in a range of fresh colorways, the Old Skool pays homage to our heritage while ensuring that this low top, lace-up shoe remains as iconic as ever. It also features re-enforced toe caps, supportive padded collars, and signature rubber waffle outsoles.
The latest colorway of the Nike Zoom Fly 5, “Pink Oxford,” for women, is an additional option for those who prefer sweet, pastel colors.
The Engineered Mesh upper comes in a dull pink, Pink Oxford, and uses a sweet pink, Pink Gaze, inside, and contrasts with a transparent Swoosh with red University Red stripes. There is also a gradient of pink on the white SR-02 foam midsole. Inside is ZoomX that is left over from production, pressed into new blocks and placed inside. Of course, it still comes with a carbon plate as usual. Finished with a rubber sole that comes in black. This model is positioned as a running shoe for speed training and can be worn in competitions.
This actually isn’t the first time that the Kobe, Japan-based brand has applied a grayscale approach to this silhouette, but we haven’t seen this particular colorway before. The mixture of materials is very similar to previous GEL-NYC releases; the predominantly “Black” upper is nicely contrasted by a shiny silver overlay, and “Graphite Gray” appears throughout the sole, with a nice gradient shift at the midsole.
